Playgroup (18 months - 24 months) ↓
At this stage, children need confidence to navigate the world by themselves for the first time without their mummies and daddies!
We support this big, brave, step by following the child’s lead in play. Our educators facilitate this adventure of discovery through cultivating a deep understanding of the child.
We encourage holistic development and learning through:
Helping children develop fine motor skills using their fingers and hands
Supporting children in making friends and regulating emotions
Introducing symbols and pictures to represent concepts, ideas or items which are not present
Helping children develop balancing skills
Teaching children about the conventional social rules of language
Nursery (3 - 4 years old) ↓
At this stage, children need confidence and encouragement to take their first steps away from their parents.
We nurture this important milestone by supporting each child’s individual learning journey through play. Our educators foster a deep understanding of each child, guiding them gently as they discover and explore the world around them.
We encourage holistic development and learning through:
Supporting children in participating collaboratively and constructively during group activities
Educating children on the appropriate use of conventional grammar and expansive vocabulary to develop conversational skills
Helping children develop the ability to make connections by recalling experiences and stories
Helping children explore musical concepts and expression
Familiarising children with writing and drawing tools to develop fine motor skills
Facilitating a positive attitude towards learning so that children develop a natural curiosity, and an inventiveness in thinking
Introducing children to the concept of spatial relationships and shapes, and numbers
Kindergarten (5 - 6 years old) ↓
At this stage, our children are excited about learning and raring to go! The world around them is filled with wonderful things to discover, examine, analyse and inquire about.
Our educators often adopt a project approach by providing opportunities for experimentation and creativity and collaborative discussions among Kindlers.
We encourage holistic development and learning through:
Working with children to hone gross motor skills to throw, catch, and kick objects
Helping children develop critical thinking skills to resolve conflicts
Encouraging children to actively participate in conversations by interacting with others in non-routine ways
Encouraging creativity by providing children with opportunities to build new and unique objects from scratch
Strengthening children’s ability to develop fine motor skills such as actively connecting objects (e.g. blocks), which go together
Improving children’s problem-solving skills by providing opportunities to repeat manipulations of certain activities (e.g. fitting a key into a lock)
Helping stimulate logical thinking through pattern recognition, categorisation of objects, and more complex numeracy concepts
Supporting children’s ability to understand and interpret meaning from texts and reading materials
